The part that works while the market is open

A small Windows app that stays on top of your charts. Three tabs, one purpose: capture what is happening while it is still happening, instead of reconstructing it after the close.

  • A teal circle over your platform, always on top and draggable
  • Notes, trades and a day log without leaving the chart
  • Your own rules, warning you in real time when you break them
  • Everything lands in the journal on the site
  • Your trades synced on their own (autosync)

Windows app. On every paid plan.

Felt rushed after the first loss. Waited two candles instead of one and it was the right call.

The widget open on the desktop — the three tabs, the note being written, and the ones already saved underneath.

Until you need it, it is a circle

On the desktop the widget is a teal dot sitting over your platform. One click and it becomes the window.

Always on top, and out of the way

It floats above everything, including the platform, and you drag it wherever it does not bother you — the corner of the chart, the second monitor, wherever. Clicking it opens the panel; clicking again puts it back to a dot.

It is a place to write, not a second platform: it never connects to your broker and it cannot send an order. What it does is catch what you are thinking while you can still remember it.

  • Always on top of the charts, and draggable anywhere
  • One click opens it, one closes it
  • Three tabs inside: notes, trades, day log
  • It never touches your broker — no password, no orders sent

Whatever you bring to the front, it stays in front

Your platform, the journal on the site, anything else you open. They take turns being the window you are looking at. The widget never goes behind any of them.

Three tabs, three moments of the same session

Before, during, after. They are the three times you actually have something to write down — and they are three different things to write.

09:25

Before the open

Notes

The plan for the day, and yesterday’s starred note coming back to be read again.

11:41

While it is open

Trades

The trade logged while it is still warm, and the screenshot of the chart you were looking at.

17:10

After the close

Diary

One line to close the session. By then the day log has already written most of it.

Notes: the thought, before it evaporates

Two minutes after the trade you already remember a tidier version of what you were thinking. This is for the untidy one.

A category, a screenshot, and what you were actually thinking

Four categories — Operations, Study, Psychology, Other — each with its own color, the same one they have in the journal on the site. Choosing one takes a click and it is what makes the notes readable back in a month.

The screenshot comes from the screen capture or straight from the clipboard, so the chart you were looking at stays attached to what you wrote about it. And if typing is too slow while the candle is forming, you can dictate.

  • Four categories: Operations, Study, Psychology, Other
  • Capture the screen or paste an image from the clipboard
  • Dictate when there is no time to type
  • Star a note to pin it — the pinned note comes back tomorrow
  • Every note keeps its time, so it lines up with the trades

Trades: logged while they are still warm

One line for the facts, one field for the reason. The reason is the one that pays for itself later.

Direction, outcome, setup, account, risk

Each trade card shows in a single row the time, the direction, the outcome and — in that order of priority — the setup, the account and the risk. The tags go in with whatever space is left, and the ones that do not fit are counted in a small +N pill instead of pushing the row onto a second line.

Underneath there are the pre and post session notes, the checklist of the setup you are trading, and the free field for what happened and why you took it.

  • Direction and outcome in one tap: long or short, profit, break-even or stop
  • Setup checklist, so you can tick it before rather than after
  • Pre and post session notes, kept with the day
  • Account and risk on the card, because a trade means nothing without them
  • Tags fit the space left; the rest are counted in a +N pill

The rule stops you while you can still stop

The rules you set for today sit at the top of the Trades tab. When you are about to break one, the widget says so — not the day after, when it has already cost you.

The warning arrives while it still matters

Reading in the Coach that you took four revenge trades last month is useful. Being told at 10:48 that you have just taken two losses in a row and your own rule says stop is worth more, because at 10:48 you can still do something about it.

The rules are yours: you write them, and you can change them tomorrow. The widget does not block anything and does not close the platform — it puts the sentence you wrote this morning in front of you at the moment you are about to ignore it.

  • Today’s rules at the top of the Trades tab
  • The warning arrives in real time, while you are trading
  • You set the rules, and the thresholds that trigger them
  • Nothing is blocked: it tells you, then it is your call

Two losses in a row Your rule for today says stop here. The next one is the expensive one.

At 10:48 you can still do something about it.
At 20:00 you can only write it down.

The day writes itself, one line at a time

By the close there is a chronology of the session that you did not have to sit down and reconstruct.

Four kinds of entry, one timeline

Every entry carries its time and a badge saying what it is: a note, something done, an issue, an idea. Written like that, during the session, the day log ends up saying what actually happened — including the parts you would have quietly rounded off in the evening.

At the end you export the day in markdown, or you leave it where it is: it is already attached to that day in the Diary on the site.

  • Four types: note, done, issue, idea — each with its color
  • Every entry is timestamped as you write it
  • Export in markdown, or leave it in the Diary
  • It sits with that day, next to the trades you took

Issue

Took a trade outside the plan. Second loss in a row.

It looks after itself, and nothing stays trapped in it

Two things that decide whether a desktop tool gets used after the first week.

It updates itself

When a new version comes out the widget offers it to you, and on the site the Widget entry in the sidebar pulses in yellow. The ⓘ panel reads what changed straight from the releases.

Everything reaches the site

Notes, day log and trade log show up on the Widget page of the journal, with filters by category, account and date. Nothing lives only on your desktop.

It brings your trades in, too

On DeepCharts, the widget reads your fills and the trades land in the journal on their own. How autosync works →

It links up on its own

A note taken at 11:03 sits next to the trade you took at 11:03. That is the whole point of writing it there instead of in a text file.

It writes, it does not trade. The widget has no connection to your broker: it knows no password, it cannot place or close an order, and it will never stop you from taking a trade. With autosync on, it only reads the execution files your platform already keeps on your PC. It puts in front of you, at the right moment, the rule you wrote for yourself — and then it is entirely your call.

The review starts while the market is open

Everything the widget writes is already in the journal when you sit down to look at the day.
